Matching elongated octagonal Coober Pedy loose solid opal untreated

Two  solid opals from the Coober Pedy area of Australia.

The Coober Pedy mines are known for producing this type of material, the beautiful pure snowy creamy white background with this sparkles of pinfire that earn this gem its fans.

This opals weigh 2.70cts.
 
These opals are old unmounted stock from a jeweller and so these were faceted and then left ready to create jewellery but never used, feel free to enquire about other opals.
 

The opals are faceted  as elongated octagons and it is done well and is diffferent to most shapes for gems, the faceting is smooth and well polished.

The images wash out the opal, it looks better than the video shows.
