A Jadeite Jade Swastika Buddhist incense cone and stick burner - handmade

A Jadeite Jade Swastika Buddhist incense cone and stick burner - handmade

This is an incense holder with an Ancient Eastern symbol, the Swastika, it appears throughout Jain, Hindu, Buddhist and other religions.

This piece is carved from Jadeite Jade that is untreated Jadeite Jade.

The symbol is actually carved out of a very thin piece of the Jade, the lid having a thick surround with the centre part being thin and refined and so smoke is able to waft through the gaps if this is used with cones.

A gem carver with great skill has to do such a job, to keep the Jadeite well carved and polished up to what it should be while keeping  the Jadeite so thin, is not an easy feat.

RuYi accompany either side of this piece.

The middle does have a part to hold incense sticks so it is a dual use incense holder.

The incense holder comes with certificate too!

This could equally be used with dried flower and spice Potpourri and used as a scent box.
