A loose six rays star sapphire.
 
The sapphire is a black/brown sapphire and is a big sapphire, it is 14.28ct.
 
The sapphire is cabochon faceted and the dome is smooth and well polished so the star is very pronounced.
 
14.4mmX10.7mmX8mm.

The images are showing  the star quite well however when whoever buys this sees it they will be happier than seeing just the photo.
