A loose oval faceted ruby from Siam.
 
Siam mine origin with a deep crimson colour and that high colour saturation that Siam/Thai rubies are known for.

This gem has a gem report from the GLC, the Gemological Laaboratory of Chanthaburi which is Thai based.

The report states that the gem has indication of heating, this is to say that the gem is heat treated but not chemicals are used for that.
 
The gem is heated but only heated. What is only heated and what does it mean?
Most sapphires are heated and this is a way to improve the colour and this is a common accepted treatment, the sapphire is still desirable. This method is not the same as lead glass filling or beryllium treating of sapphire which produces worthless sapphires that are unnatural.
